Jeffrey Gleason was born in the northeast and went to high school in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, before heading to college out in the Napa Valley and Hawaii (Manoa campus on Oahu)...all while studying photography.

Jeffrey moved from San Francisco to Charlottesville in 2009 with his now-wife. They were married here in Virginia and are now proud parents of 2 but soon to be 3 perfect children.
Their firstborn Josephine is no longer with them. You can read about her congenital heart defect story at Josephinesvillage.com. It’s not something Jeff shys away from talking about. He loves talking about “Jo” so if you run into him please don’t feel like you have to dance around any questions you might have, ask him!

Jeff has been photographing people for over twenty years now. He photographed his first wedding in 1999 and is still going.

He loves photographing people during a time in their life when they can't help but let down the walls and share all their joy and emotion of the day. He also photographs for Scarpa’s creative team in a studio setting regularly and thrives on the challenges studio lighting can offer.

Listen in as Jeffrey and Jess chat about what it's like to be parents of toddlers, the role our parents play in not just providing for us, but allowing us the space to become who we want to be, and how professionals in the same industry don't stand out from one another, but stand with each other in community.
